My own Fish & Chorizo Tacos

I made some incredible tacos tonight! Here’s the recipe!

 

Doc Zoidberg’s Fish & Chorizo Taco’s

 

1 pound white flaky fish, such as mahi mahi or Tilapia

1/4 cup canola oil

1 lime, juiced

1 tablespoons ancho chili powder

1 jalapeno, coarsely chopped

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves

1 pkg of Chorizo

 

Condiments:

Cilantro
Mozzarella Cheese (yes, Mozzarella)
Chipotle Tabasco Sauce

Place fish in a medium size dish.  Whisk together the oil, lime juice, ancho, jalapeno, and cilantro and pour over the fish.  Let marinate for 15 to 20 minutes

Remove the fish from the marinade place into a hot frying, flesh side down. Cook approximately 5 minutes, turning over about halfway through. Remove fish from pan and chop.

Add Chorizo to pan and cook over light-medium heat.  Remove the fat/oil as it liquifies.  Chorizo has a VERY high fat content, but removing the oil will help.

After removing the Chorizo from the heat, I just got a taco shell (or use tortilla’s if you want), layered the bottom with some chopped fish, then some chorizo, cheese, cilantro and squirted some Chipotle Tabasco in it.

I ‘ve got to admit, i was mildly surprised!! MMMMmmmm GOOD!
