Garlic Butter Sauteed Mushrooms

I don’t know about you peeps, but I LOVE mushrooms!! I’ve made similar recipes and i can tell you they are good. FYI, I add a little Liquid Smoke to my ‘shrooms.

Garlic Butter Sauteed Mushrooms
4 cloves of Garlic, peeled & minced
2 Tbsp EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
1/4  Cup Unsalted butter, softened
1/4 Cup Margarine, softened (seems like alotta butter, doesnt it)
1 Tsp Italian Seasoning
1 pinch BBQ seasoning
1/4lbs (for 1/4 cup margarine?????) Mushrooms, Sliced & Quartered

Gently heat olive oil and add salt and crushed garlic, allow to stand and cool,butter and margarine (allow to stand at room temp before mixing.)
Add olive oil and Italian seasoning to the butter paste and mix to even consistancy. Cool to stiffen in refrigerator.
Use 1 tablespoon of butter to a 1/4 lb of mushrooms lightly fry and serve direct to the table.
OR you can use MY instructions and throw EVERYTHING in a saucepan and saute’ then serve.

Blog Authors Note: This seems like an awfully lotta stuff for 1/4 lb of Mushrooms.   If it were me, I’d do at LEAST a pound of shrooms for that 1/4 cup of margarine.

    • You should see the Grilled Chimichurri Portabellas that I’ll have posted in the Spring! FANTASTIC! Plus you can use the Chimichurri sauce for a Grilled Garlic French Bread.
